Royal Decree-Law 13/2012, of 30 March, transposing directives on the internal electricity and gas markets and on electronic communications, Article 4 of which amends Law 34/2002 of 11 July 2002, leaving Article 22.2 of said Law on the Rights of recipients of services as follows:
Service providers may use data storage and retrieval devices on terminal equipment of the recipients, provided that they have given their consent after having received clear and complete information on their use, in particular on the purposes of data processing, in accordance with the provisions of Organic Law 15/1999 of 13 December 1999 on the Protection of Personal Data.

Where technically possible and effective, the recipient's consent to the processing of the data may be given by the use of appropriate browser or other application settings, provided that the recipient must configure them during installation or updating by express action.

This shall not preclude the possible storage or access of a technical nature solely for the purpose of effecting the transmission of a communication over an electronic communications network or, to the extent strictly necessary, for the provision of an information society service expressly requested by the addressee.

Due to the last paragraph of the law, we inform you that Intervia's website does not use cookies for the processing of personal data, its use being limited to strictly technical needs to provide the services requested by the user of our website.

What are cookies and how do they work?

Cookies are small pieces of data that are stored in the user's browser so that they can be retrieved later. Its use is generally technical, for the correct functioning of web services, such as maintaining user sessions, or for statistical control.

Cookies of a domain can only be retrieved from that domain, for example, cookies sent from intervia.com, could not be retrieved when visiting google.com, but using tricks it is possible to identify users among several associated websites.

This raised suspicions that led to the creation of a European directive to warn of the use of cookies, as some websites use them to identify the browsing habits of users through various websites.

This regulation obliges you to report the use of cookies, but in practice, it does not prevent these practices from analyzing usage habits, since companies prevent the use of their services or use other programming tricks without the use of cookies, which is undetectable or unregulated.

Our website does not cross data with any other website or make individual analysis of users, we only use cookies for technical purposes, without individualizing users or cross them with other websites or platforms.

Even so, the user who visits our website may choose to reject the cookies that we send or delete them when they leave the browser if he or she believes that the use we make of them violates your privacy.

If you block cookies from our website, you will be blocking routines necessary for the proper functioning of services, specifically, if cookies are rejected:
  • You will not be able to log in to protected areas
  • Shopping will not be possible
  • No comments can be left on our blog
